Dr. Sarah Despatie
Owner and veterinarian
Graduated from the Faculté de médecine vétérinaire in Ste-Hyacinthe in 1996. She completed a general internship in equine medicine in 1997 and joined the team at Hôpital Vétérinaire Lachute that same year. She became the owner of the hospital in 2009. Her areas of interest are equine reproduction and lameness problems.
Dr. Myriam Pouliot
She graduated from the Faculté de médecine vétérinaire de Ste-Hyacinthe in 2002. She also completed a specialized internship in Small Animal Surgery at Centre Vétérinaire DMV in 2006. She has been working with Hôpital Vétérinaire Lachute since 2009 and she is responsible for for the small animal department. Her areas of interest are surgery and exotic animal medicine (small mammals, reptiles, birds).
Dr. Geneviève Tétreault
Graduated from the Faculté de médecine vétérinaire in Ste-Hyacinthe in 2013, she joined the team at Hôpital Vétérinaire Lachute following her graduation. She practices small animal medicine and her areas of interest are medical imaging and feline medicine.
Dr. Caroline Normand
Graduated from la Faculté de médecine vétérinaire in Ste-Hyacinthe in 2008. She did a general internship at the Centre Vétérinaire DMV in 2009 and then joined the team at Hôpital Vétérinaire Lachute in 2014. Her areas of interest are medicine and emergency medicine.
Dr. Vanessa Rowland
Graduated from the Faculté de médecine vétérinaire in Ste-Hyacinthe in 2016. Being from the region, she joined the team at Hôpital Vétérinaire Lachute as soon as she graduated. Her areas of interest are exotic animal medicine (small mammals, birds, and reptiles) as well as animal behavior.
Dr. Tania Mutch
Graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Queenland University in 2013. She did a general internship in equine medicine at Rangora Equine Services in New Zealand in 2014 as well as an internship specializing in equine surgery at Milton Equine Hospital in 2015. She joined the team at Hôpital Vétérinaire Lachute in 2016. Her areas of interest are reproduction, emergency medicine and exotic animals.
Dr. Madeleine Tremblay
Dr. Madeleine Tremblay has been a veterinarian since 1990 and practices small animal medicine. She started her profession in Quebec, then moved on to practice on the island of St-Maarten between 1994-1995. She practiced in China from 1998 to 2009 where she gained exposure to complementary medicines which intrigued her. In 2014 she completed a course in veterinary chiropractic, a profession she is very passionate about. Dr. Tremblay joined the team at Hôpital Vétérinaire Lachute in February 2017 in order to provide chiropractic care to our patients.
Madame Lachapelle is the hospital’s director and has been with Hôpital Vétérinaire Lachute since 2005. She is responsible for human resources and finance. She oversees all aspects of the hospital’s day-to-day operations and ensures a positive work environment in which the practice achieves its goals.
